Dr. Jiabin Pan pursued his Ph.D. in the research group of Professor Qilin Zhou at Nankai University from 2019 to 2025, with his doctoral research focused on the asymmetric transformation of highly reactive carbene intermediates. As first author (including co-first authorship), he has published papers in peer-reviewed journals such as Nat. Catal. and Angew. Chem. Int. Ed. In June 2025, Dr. Pan joined the College of Chemistry and the Frontier Research Center for New Organic Matter at Nankai University as a postdoctoral research associate. His current research interests include the engineering and application of artificial metalloenzymes, asymmetric hydrogen atom transfer (HAT) reactions via electroenzymatic catalysis, and enzyme-catalyzed asymmetric C–H bond functionalization.
